Atmospheres Maintain Quality and Freshness
The
rate of respiration is reduced in Controlled Atmosphere, which:
- Inhibits anthracnose spotting and diplodia
stem end decay.
- Results in less weight loss.
- Mature green mangos do not advance to
turning stage maturity level during transport.
- One quarter to one half ripe mangos
advance in maturity only slightly during
transport.
Profits are Maximized
at Distribution and Retail
- Improved arrival quality at lower ripeness
levels with reduced incidence of decay means
less shrink and better prices.
- Consistent arrivals result in increased
repeat sales.
Product Shelf Life is Improved
- Mangos ripen normally
after arrival with better shelf life.
