Twenty-six varieties of roses were supplied from Ecuador via air and then placed under two different atmosphere conditions – one chamber with controlled atmosphere and a separate container with normal air. All of them were kept at 33°F over 15 days. After the transport simulation, all varieties were placed in vases with water and
kept at 72°F for 11 days. During this time period, evaluations were performed every second day.
